KOREAN steelmaker Posco reported second quarter operating profit grew 26.9 percent on the previous quarter, totalling US$1.5 billion in revenue. Its subsidiary Posco Engineering and Construction is developing $300 million Star River in Phnom Penh. Posco said the strong results were “backed by a revitalised steel market ... and increasing export to emerging markets”.
